About Windows Server 2022 Device CAL
Windows Server 2022 Device CAL is a perpetual licence for 1 device: you pay for it once and it never expires. There is nothing to install: it is the right to access the server, which you keep together with the licence documents.
Access licence (CAL) for Windows Server 2022, for one device, for any number of users working on it. It covers Windows Server 2022 and older versions. You need one CAL for every device that uses the server: files, printers, accounts, applications.

Questions about Windows Server 2022 Device CAL
How many cores do I need to license?
Every physical core in the server, but at least 8 per processor and 16 per server. A server with two 12-core processors means 24 cores, which is twelve 2-core packs.
User CAL or Device CAL?
User CALs when people work from several devices (laptop, phone, a computer at home). Device CALs when several people take turns on the same computer. You can mix both types on the same server.
When will I get the licence?
Within 5 working days of payment, by email (and in your account, if you have one).
What documents do I get?
A tax invoice, made out to the details entered with the order, and the licence’s proof-of-origin documents. Companies also receive the invoice through e-Factura.
What if activation doesn't work?
Write to us or call us, Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00, and we'll help you activate the licence. If the licence itself won't activate, we send you another one or refund its price.
Can I return the licence?
Until you receive it, you can cancel the order. Once delivered, the licence can't be returned: at checkout you asked for delivery before the withdrawal period ends and confirmed that you can no longer withdraw after delivery. If the licence itself won't activate, we replace it or refund its price. The details are in ‘Delivery, payment and returns’.
