Questions about licences

What does ‘perpetual licence’ mean?

You pay for it once and use it with no end date. There is no subscription and no renewal. The version stays the one you bought: Office 2021 does not turn into Office 2024.

What does it mean that the licence is transferable?

The licence can pass from one owner to another. If you no longer need it, you can transfer it on, with the documents you received from us.

Which documents do I get, and what are they for?

You get the licence's proof-of-origin paperwork, alongside the invoice. Keep it with your accounts. If your company goes through a software audit, it shows where each licence came from.

How do I activate the licence?

Install the product from the kit at the link we send you and enter the key. Activation happens online. With Autodesk, the licence first moves to your company's Autodesk account and you activate it from there. The exact steps come in the email with the licence and are also on each product page.

Do you sell versions Microsoft no longer supports?

Yes. Office 2016, Office 2019 or Windows Server 2012, for example, are valid licences; Microsoft simply no longer releases updates for them. Each product page shows the date its extended support runs or ran until, so you can choose with your eyes open.

Whose details go on the invoice?

The details entered at checkout. For a company, you type its name or IDNO at checkout and we fill in the rest from the register. Companies also receive the invoice through e-Factura.
